Frequently Asked Questions
You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.
What does the Pet Allergy Test check for?
This test measures your pet's allergen-specific IgE antibodies across environmental allergens (dust mites, pollens, molds, danders), insects and irritants, and food allergens (meats, fish, egg, dairy, grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables) — 64, 61, or 125 allergens depending on the panel you choose.
How is this different from the Pet Intolerance Test?
The Allergy Test measures IgE antibodies — the immune response behind true allergies (itching, ear infections, skin issues). The Intolerance Test screens a broader range of sensitivities using a different method.
How accurate is this compared to testing at a vet's office?
It's a convenient, affordable way to identify your pet's allergen sensitivities using the same testing methods your vet uses, conducted by an accredited lab. Results are for educational and informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, evaluation, or treatment.
Is this suitable for my dog or cat?
Yes — all three panels are suitable for dogs and cats of all breeds.
How do I collect the sample?
Use the included lancet to place a few drops of your pet's blood on the dried blood spot card, then mail it back in the provided envelope. No vet visit required.
How long do results take?
About 5–7 business days after our lab receives your sample.
When will my kit arrive?
Delivery typically takes 3-5 business days, and tracking information will be provided as soon as your order ships.

No issues with the test itself, results for our cat were useful and clear. The kit just took longer to reach us than I expected. Once it arrived everything went smoothly.
Super easy. Took maybe ten minutes start to finish.
The report itself is fine, no complaints there. But between waiting for the kit, mailing it in and waiting on the lab it was close to three weeks before we saw anything. For the price I expected it to move faster. Also there is basically no way to check where your sample is in the process, which was frustrating.
Our lab mix Cooper has been chewing his feet raw for almost two years and we had tried everything – grain free food, different shampoos, wipes after every walk. We ordered the Complete Panel and honestly I wasnt expecting much. His results came back with high reactions to a couple of grasses, which explained why he got so much worse in the spring. Our vet looked at the report with us and we adjusted his routine. He is not perfect but he is so much more comfortable now.
The results were good and I am happy we did it, but filling all five circles was harder than the instructions make it sound. Our dog was patient but we barely got enough on the last one. Ended up doing the paw pad which worked better than the ear. Just plan on it taking a few tries.
