Pet Allergy Test

I went back and forth on which panel to get and ended up paying more for the Complete. Glad I did - two of the things that came back highest would not have been on the smaller panel 1. If you are on the fence I would spend the extra.

I am a bit of a worrier with my cat and this gave me some peace of mind. Her results came back with everything ranked as low which was actually a relief. Support answered my question about the sample card quickly too.

We adopted Millie last year with no history at all, so we were flying blind on everything. Her skin was a mess and we had no idea if it was food or environment or stress from the move. The panel gave us a starting point and we used it to build a plan. It is really nice to feel like we are doing something informed instead of throwing products at her.

We tried twice and could not fill all five circles on our cat. Apparently the lab wont run a partial card and there is no way to just get a replacement card, so we would have to buy a whole new kit to try again. That is a hard sell after already paying once. The idea is good but the collection needs to be more realistic for cats.

Report was genuinely useful and our vet was happy to look at it. It was just a longer wait than I expected between mailing the sample and getting anything back. I would have liked some kind of update in the middle so I knew it had actually arrived.

We used to get hot spots every summer and had no idea why. Turns out theres a few things on the list that line up perfectly with when it flares. definately worth doing.

Good experience overall. Kit showed up quick, collection was fine even with a squirmy cat, and the results were laid out well.

Our frenchie Otis has had ear issues and itchy paws basically since we got him. Two rounds of meds from the vet, temporary relief, then right back to it. The test showed a few strong environmental reactions we never would have guessed at. We are managing it now instead of chasing it. My only regret is not doing this at the beginning instead of after all the trial and error.

Solid test and I liked the results. One heads up for anyone ordering - the return envelope is not prepaid, you have to put your own stamp on it. I didnt catch that at first. Would be nice if that was called out more clearly.

The instructions were straightforward and the report was clear. I liked that each result had a class number so you could tell what actually mattered. Recieved everything on time.

Ordered two kits and got the bundle discount. Both came back with different results which was interesting since they eat the exact same food. Would recommend.

Took me a while to figure out the kit ID and where I was supposed to enter it. I found a sticker on the envelope and a number on the form and wasnt sure if they were the same thing. Support sorted it out for me but it should not have taken an email. the test part was fine once I got past that.

Took us two tries to get the card filled. The first lancet didnt give us much and we had to use another one. Once we sent it in everything was fine and the results were worth it, but I would tell other cat people to be ready to use the extra lancets that come wit the kit.

Sent it off on a Monday and had the report back sooner than I thought I would. Nice clean layout, and easier with my cat than I feared.

Mango was not thrilled but we got through it with a towel wrap and a second person. Paw pad worked on the first try. Results came back after about 12 days and were easier to read than I expected.

I want to be clear this is not a replacement for a vet visit and TotalVet is upfront about that. What it did do was give our vet a real list to look at instead of us describing symptoms and shrugging. She actually said she wished more clients came in with something like this. We are doing an elimination trial now based on what came back high. Money well spent for us.

Really glad we did this. The collection was quicker than I expected and the report was easy to follow. We took it to our vet and made a few changes and the constant scratching has calmed way down.

I appreciated that it didnt try to diagnose anything, it just gave us the data and told us to bring it to our vet. That is exactly what we needed.

Our lab mix Cooper has been chewing his feet raw for almost two years and we had tried everything - grain free food, different shampoos, wipes after every walk. We ordered the Complete Panel and honestly I wasnt expecting much. His results came back with high reactions to a couple of grasses, which explained why he got so much worse in the spring. Our vet looked at the report with us and we adjusted his routine. He is not perfect but he is so much more comfortable now.
