Dr. Katie Comerford is a small animal veterinarian in Knoxville, TN. She spent a short time in equine practice before transitioning to small animal practice in order to spend more time with her own horses and dogs. Her main passions in practice include preventative care, nutrition, infectious diseases, and endocrine disorders. She believes it is especially important that pet owners understand how essential preventative care is to their pets’ longevity and daily well-being.

Dr. Comerford graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 after completing a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medical Science (also at TAMU) in 2008. She completed an internship in Ambulatory Medicine at Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, FL after graduating.
