Lisa Steinberg, DVM is a small animal veterinarian with over 25 years of experience practicing in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Dr. Steinberg’s practice has included general medicine and surgery, including 3 years of practice in an emergency and specialty referral setting, and 5 years performing house calls for general medicine and end-of-life care. She previously worked in finance for a money market fund, and after many years of reviewing medical journals and attending veterinary conferences during her practice, she has more recently developed an interest in medical writing and blogging for pet owners. As a full-time working mother and wife, Dr. Steinberg and her human family share their home with their dog Rosie who she treats for heart disease, their cat Harry who she treats for severe arthritis, their cat Luna who is a pure sweetheart of a cat, and their goldfish Tom and Jerry.

Curriculum
Dr. Steinberg earned her DVM degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She also finished Pre-Veterinary Sciences at Hunter College and attained her BA in SUNY Stonybrook. Moreover, she finished her Writing in the Sciences short course at Stanford University.
